Barack Obama buying house in Dubai on Palm Jumeirah?

According to some American sites and Twitter, Barack Obama is evaluating to buy a Palm Jumeirah mansion. Palm Jumeirah is an artificial archipelago created by Nakheel, a company owned by the Dubai government, and designed and developed by Helman Hurley Charvat Peacock/Architects, Inc.

Shaun Garratt of Ocean View Real Estate is the agent on the house’s listing: a Dhs18 million seaside luxury villa. He didn’t confirm or deny whether Barack Obama was interested in, or indeed purchasing, the house. The house’s listing says it’s still for sale.

Take a look inside the house he might be living in…

There’s no official confirmation and it seems a report circulating in the Kremlin (the Russian parliament) states that one of the US Navy’s top commanders, Rear Admiral Rick Williams, was relieved of his post after quering why Navy forces had been sent to UAE on a “Obama house hunting mission”. Official sources say the Admiral was fired due to misuse of his work computer.

Dubai could be a perfect holiday-home option for the Obamas –lots of golf facilities (mr. President loves playing golf), sun all year ’round (kind of like Hawaii, one of their favorite travel destination) and plenty of jogging possibilities for the health-conscious family.
